As Senior Vice President of Marketing and Product Development, Paul Wilkens was responsible for Ortho Technology's global marketing direction, clinical research, product development, as well as identifying and negotiating strategic relationships that further business directives.
During his 15 years with Ortho Technology, Paul successfully developed Ortho Technology’s globally recognized brand and line of orthodontic products, with a focus on aesthetics. After joining Ortho Technology the company experienced record year over year double-digit growth, resulting in 2011 sales of approximately $25 million and the purchase of the company for $41 million by Henry Schein a $10.4 billion Fortune 500 company.
Stanley Bergman, Chairman and Chief Executive Offer of Henry Schein, in a statement noted "We envision multiple synergies between these two organizations, including leveraging Ortho Organizers' manufacturing of certain key products and Ortho Technology's aesthetic brackets and its best-in-class direct marketing expertise,"
Paul additionally was appointed special project leader for key growth projects, including the implemented of a new Quality Management System, and quality department reconstruction, new software selection and IT department development, distribution center design inventory system development.
Paul has served on the American Association of Orthodontists Exhibitor Advisory Committee and has been featured in Orthodontic Products magazine discussing the latest in bonding technology and OrthoTown magazine discussing Ortho Technology’s Vision for Value. Paul is the inventor of numerous unique and award winning patented orthodontic products.
In addition to his tenure at Ortho Technology, Paul possesses more than 20 years of marketing and product development experience with key executive management positions held at other progressive marketing and technology based companies. Throughout his career, Paul has initiated growth in many key areas of the companies.
